the child is jumping
from cloud to cloud

night rain planting tomorrow's mushrooms

last days of autumn
looking for wisdom
I follow the snail

cathedral entrance
sparrows
looking for crumbs

my son’s teacher

berates him in front of the class
returning mockingbirds

i breathe out the surplus reality

words take time to swallow things
